Day Training Activity Center (DTAC)

What is the Day Training Activity Center?

  • Assists disabled individuals in numerous life skills training opportunities

  • Both community and facility based

  • Paid work component

  • Training to assist the person to become as independent as possible

What type of services does the DTAC offer?

  • A variety of activities and services including:

    • Employment opportunities

    • Volunteer activities

    • Functional life skills instruction

    • Self-help training

  • To achieve these goals DTAC utilizes:

    • Retail shopping establishments

    • Supermarkets

    • Restaurants

    • Recreational and leisure pursuits

    • Educational opportunities

  • Direct services with a staff to client ratio that averages 1 to 8

Who are our clients?

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Intellectually / Developmentally disabled

  • Ambulatory

  • Ability to attend to self-care needs

  • Multiple disabilities

  • Autistic
